Who writes and reviews GLP Observer

Every page on GLP Observer is written and reviewed by the GLP Observer Editorial Team. We are a small editorial team, not a clinic: our review checks that every price, date and coverage rule matches the primary source it came from. We do not review medical treatment, and we claim no individual medical credentials.

The GLP Observer Editorial Team

The team researches sources, enters prices, writes the explanatory text, and reviews it before it goes live. Pages carry a team byline rather than an individual’s name. A team byline is accurate about how the work is done, and we would rather say that than put a name or a degree on a page that it doesn’t belong on.

That means we don’t present any page as “medically reviewed.” If a question is about whether a medicine is right for you, the answer belongs with a licensed prescriber. Our pages stick to what things cost and what the published rules say.

The review every price goes through

  1. Source first. A number can only come from a page in our sources log, which currently lists 54 pages: 21 manufacturer, 5 government, 2 independent research, 16 telehealth program pages and 10 dated press releases.
  2. Capture. We load the page in a real browser and save its rendered text and a full screenshot, so we can show exactly what it said on the day we checked.
  3. Entry with a citation. Every price is entered with the ID of the page it came from. Our site build refuses to publish any citation that doesn’t point to a logged source.
  4. Review against the capture. Before publishing, the review pass re-reads each number, unit (month, 28 days, fill), dose and condition (intro price, on-time refill, membership) against the saved copy, not against memory or a third-party summary. Anything we can’t match is removed, not estimated.
  5. Re-check and date. Prices are re-checked on a schedule. The “Verified” stamp on each page shows the last check (currently October 19, 2026), and every change is logged on the price-change page and in the RSS feed.

What our review is not

  • It is not a clinical or pharmacist review and is never labeled as one.
  • It is not a rating. We don’t score, rank, star or “pick” programs or drugs (why).
  • It is not influenced by payment. See how we’re funded.

How we write

  • Answer first: the price and the date it was checked appear in the first lines of a page.
  • Quote the program’s own words when wording matters (“from”, “as low as”, “first month”).
  • Label compounded medicines as not FDA-approved every time they appear.
  • Show the arithmetic behind totals (fills × price + membership), and never present it as a recommendation or a dose plan.
  • No invented quotes, testimonials, people, prices or statistics.

Tools we use

We use software, including automated browsers and AI-assisted drafting, to capture pages, check citations and draft explanatory text. Software doesn’t decide what gets published: every number has to match a saved primary source in the review pass, and the build blocks citations to anything not in the sources log.

Report an error

If a price on this site no longer matches its source, tell us and we will re-check it. The corrections policy explains how fixes are made and logged.
