How much is Foundayo without insurance?

Lilly’s regular self-pay prices for a 30-day supply of Foundayo are $149 for 0.8 mg, $199 for 2.5 mg, $299 for 5.5 mg and 9 mg, and $349 for 14.5 mg and 17.2 mg[1]. Two discounts lower that today:

  • Through December 31, 2026, 2.5 mg is temporarily $149 and 5.5 mg is temporarily $199[1].
  • For 14.5 mg and 17.2 mg, you automatically get $299 on your first purchase and keep it if each refill is completed within 45 days of your previous delivery[1].

LillyDirect shows these as "Starting at" prices for each strength[4].

How much is Foundayo with insurance or Medicare?

With commercial drug insurance that covers Foundayo, Lilly’s card lets you pay as little as $25 for a 1-, 2- or 3-month fill; government beneficiaries are excluded[1]. Lilly said at launch that eligible Medicare Part D individuals may get Foundayo for $50 a month beginning July 1, 2026[2]; KFF lists all Foundayo formulations under the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge[5].

What does a year of Foundayo cost?

Because a Foundayo month is 30 days, about 12 fills cover a year. On today’s prices, 12 months at a single strength would cost $1,788 at $149 or $3,588 at $299. If the temporary 2.5 mg and 5.5 mg prices end on December 31, 2026 as scheduled, those strengths go back to $199 and $299. Arithmetic only; your prescriber sets the dose.

How has Foundayo pricing changed since launch?

Lilly launched Foundayo on April 9, 2026 "starting at $149 per month at the lowest dose for self-pay patients"[2]. That starting price was unchanged on October 19, 2026[4]. The temporary cuts to 2.5 mg and 5.5 mg run through December 31, 2026[1]; we do not have a dated source for when they began.

Where else can I buy Foundayo?

Ro lists Foundayo from $149 a month next to a $649 list price[3]. Hims and Hers, WeightWatchers and Mochi list it from $149[6][7][8]. Those programs add their own membership fees. Lilly also said Foundayo would be available at U.S. retail pharmacies from launch day[2].

What should I do next?

  1. Check your coverage first. If a commercial plan covers Foundayo, a manufacturer savings card can cut the copay to as little as $25. See GLP-1 savings cards.
  2. On Medicare? Savings cards don’t apply; the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge sets a $50 copay for some weight-loss GLP-1s.
  3. Paying cash? Compare the self-pay routes in the table above, including membership fees, in the cost builder.
  4. Ask your prescriber which drug and dose fit you. GLP Observer compares prices only.
