Is Hims or Ro cheaper for a year of GLP-1s?

Medication prices match, so membership decides it. Arithmetic on published prices for membership only: Hims is $39 + 11 × $149 = $1,678 for 12 months[1]. Ro on its 12-month prepaid plan is $74 × 12 = $888; Ro itself says the annual plan saves "$900/year" against monthly billing[2]. Add the medicine: 12 months of the Wegovy pill at the $149 starting strength is $1,788 at either program.

Do Hims and Ro charge the manufacturer price for medication?

Ro says its cash-pay prices "match LillyDirect, NovoCare, and TrumpRx"[2]. Hims’ starting prices for the Wegovy pill ($149), Wegovy pen ($199) and Zepbound vial or KwikPen ($299) match the manufacturer starting prices we found the same day[1][3][4]. Hims also lists two items far above manufacturer channels: a Zepbound listing with no device named and Mounjaro, both at $1,899 a month[1].

Which is better if I want to use insurance?

Ro advertises a free insurance check for Ozempic, Wegovy and Zepbound autoinjector pens and says it will "handle the paperwork for you"[2]. Hims’ weight-loss page says insurance isn’t required and frames its offer around self-pay[1]. We don’t rate either; this is what each page says.

What to confirm before paying either

  • Which dose you’ll start on and its exact price (starting prices are for the lowest dose).
  • Whether membership renews automatically and how to cancel.
  • For Ro’s $74 rate, that it is prepaid for 12 months.
  • For the Wegovy pen, that $199 is Novo’s new-patient price for the first two fills; it becomes $349.
